Severe weather is possible through Sunday... it appears the the threat for widspread severe weather has diminished with new weather forecast model outputs, however the threat does still exist. The main threat now appears to be heavy rains, gusty winds, hail, lightning and a very isolated tornado. The main energy will move through late Saturday through mid morning on Sunday. Stay tuned to local media for weather updates.

Before severe weather moves into our area, be sure to purchase a All Hazards NOAA Weather Radio. This radio can be programmed for our area. Most severe weather related injuries and deaths happen overnight when people are sleeping, the NOAA weather radio will alert you to severe weather and will wake you so you and your family can get to safety. Radios can be purchased at Walmart, Best Buy, Walgreens and possibly at your favorite store. Be sure to ask and make sure the weather radio you purchase has an alert mode.
